My Apologies Redux

Unhappy with the re-recorded vocals, I backed off and took a different approach. the song is WAAAAAAAYYYYYY different in tone and overall feel and I had to re-write the chorus completely. Also, I ditched the drums and added a sparse, more lo-fi electronic beat. There's not much there. just enough to keep the song moving. It really feels like a whole different song and I'm totally in love with it.

Can't wait to get some feedback on it. In the meantime, here's a sample.

I've also been re-mixing the tracks. that's going to be going on until the last second, i'm sure.

  2. Here's my musical savage opinion:
Instrumentals sound awesome, great ambiance like the rest of your tracks.
The vocals I couldn't understand at all, not sure if that's the artistic intent but I couldn't make out the words.
Keep at it bro, about a week to go!!

  3. That's an enticing snippet...I'll agree, it'd be nice to here some more words in the sample...I think the mix sounds really great though. Don't fret about mixing too much, because you could probably remix until the end of your life. I'd set the last heavy mixing day out a couple days before the end of the month - that way you can let it rest for a full day and give it calm listen through before a gong sounds somewhere and you're caught with your pants down. You've nailed this baby...put it to bed.

  4. don't worry. it'll all come together in the end. the vocals on that track are largely for effect. i'm not saying anything important, but it will be more understandable in the final mix.
